  Amazing

  Had the most amazing stay, Pat and Whiskey couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was spot on every day! Always every think replaced for you room every day(just put your tray outside your day and Pat will replace anything that's been used). A great situation in Torquay,if your unsure on where to go,they are very knowledgeable and will guide you. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend. Thank you Pat and Whiskey!   Fantastic as always

  We stayed here again in August for a two night stop off before continuing on for a family holiday. This was the about the 6th time we had stayed, but the first time during the pandemic. To say that we noticed no changes would be unfair to the owners as it is clear they have made such an effort to keep their customers safe, but we can honestly say these changes made no impact on our stay. The changes required no effort on our part, were well thought out, sensible and any extra effort was taken on by the owners. The location is set back from the main town of torquay on a quiet peaceful residential road, off street parking is provided and is easy to manoeuvre. Torquay town and harbour is a lovely walk along the coast past Torre Abbey and the village of Cockington is a very short drive or 20-30min walk through a very nice park (albeit slightly hilly). We stayed in the super king room which is very generously proportioned fitting an incredibly comfortable super king bed, seating space, ample dressing area/surfaces and a very decent sized en-suite shower room! Things like Wi-fi, tv signal etc are also solid throughout. Small touches such as makeup wipes, a range of toiletries, cordial on the well stocked welcome tray are also provided. The breakfast is also a feature we look forward to, choices of a full English all the way down to cereal, its quick to be served - but not rushed - tastes delicious and always served with a smile The owners themselves are always so welcoming, always happy to offer advice on local restaurants, attractions (a well stocked extensive wrack of leaflets also available at the front door) but never over bearing. Charlie (a beautiful, very well behaved Labrador) is always happy to have a stroke or show you his toys (but if dogs are not your thing the owners are very good at keeping him away and hes never around a breakfast!) Lastly we have always found it impeccably clean here - dust, smells etc just dont exist! The owners also told us that they had spent the lockdown time refurbishing which looks excellent but it has never looked tatty/tired so the pride taken is clear! We love it here and will continue to return and I urge everyone else considering a night or two in torquay to check in to the Wellsway you wont be disappointed!

  Couple of lovely nights by the sea

  My boyfriend and I stayed at The Wellsway for 2 nights in August. We were so impressed with The Wellsway and Id give it 5/5 for every aspect of the stay. Room was clean, modern and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice (cereal, yogurts, pancakes, full English etc). The location was a short walk away from the sea on a nice residential road with off street parking. The owners were so kind and helpful with their recommendations for restaurants and things to do. They made us feel welcome and you can tell they love doing what they do. Would highly recommend The Wellsway!

  Fantastic guest house and hosts!

  We stayed at The Wellsway on our way to Cornwall, the hosts were lovely and friendly and the room (which we were told was the smallest) was perfect, so comfortable and quite a big en-suite! It was absolutely spotlessly clean couldnt fault anything! The breakfast was amazing too although we only had the full English it was cooked perfectly but there were lots of options available if you didnt want full English! All social distancing rules and regulations were followed and will definitely recommend this beautiful place to my family and friends as was within easy walking distance of the town centre and local attractions. Perfect!

  Great find

  We had lovely 3 night stay. Very welcoming & everything finished to a high standard. Very clean throughout. Breakfast choices are great, something for everyone. Great to park the car & walk everywhere also the bus stop is not far away. Hoping to return
