  1 Night stop over for RIAT

  Great bar staff friendly and helpful on arrival and departure. Breakfast was spot on but thats as good as review can go. Tired worn out stairs to rooms and didnt improve in room very dated unclean stained and mould covered shower room/ areas in bedroom. Furniture miss matched scratched and not fit for being in a hotel. Tv remote for a sky box so didnt work tv. Owner really needs to either invest in massive referb or remove from accommodation market.

  New landlord

  The hotel is under new management and they are working to update the hotel and bar area, the staff and new landlord were very friendly and helpful, my room was a little tired but work is underway to refurbish, the room was clean and aired, the bed was comfortable, the bar had a couple of real ales on always a great plus for me, all in all I enjoyed my stay, would I stay again? Most definitely, it is right next to the railway station close to all amenities in the area but the highlight of my stay was the warm welcome from the staff.

  Need updating

  Hotel not too bad in need of a very good makeover.went to see what time dinner started but was not told before we went that the kitchen wasnt working but breakfast would still be served in the morning.Tried sleeping but clang of the radiator all night kept us up so we left after the first night plus internet unsecured so not safe to use

  Stuck on Valentines

  Came back late from Bristol for Valentines Day and had a meal booked at cotes at the quays. Thought we had enough time as our table was booked for 9 and the bus was at 11:05. Long story short we were worrying about catching the bus so we gave the station a call of which we were told doors close at 11. So we finished our meal with barely any minutes to spare to find the bus was gone. At 11:10 we were lucky to find the station open and they had a room left for us. To be fair it was a twin room but it was spacious and clean with tea and coffee (which was good as we both had work in the morning). The shower was night and hot and the beds were very comfortable. We just felt bad for not saying goodbye as had to get to work. Very appreciated for the service they provided us though :)

  Stayed for one night.

  We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed by the owner and bar staff. The owner allowed us to check out a bit later so we could have a lie in, offered us plates, knives and forks if we wanted to have a takeaway and made it clear nothing was too much to ask. The room was clean and spacious, I would recommend to anyone as the people that work there and especially the owner, are down to earth people and the rooms are nice and cheap! Its central to everything in Gloucester too. I would personally stay again.
