  A great stay

  We had a truly great stay at the Solo Te. The rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean. The very friendly staff and management made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of great tips on visiting Addis.

  Great service and friendly stuff in a very quiet area

  It was my third time at this hotel. As it happened the previous times, I had an excellent stay. The place is very convenient to me, the stuff is very helpful and friendly, plus good service and breakfast. They have a pick up service from the airport to the hotel and on the other way around without charge.

  Solo Te

  Very Bad Manager (tsegaye), very good stuff!!! The manager lucks customer service, doesnt say hello no smile and very horrible. he speaks impolitely.. he was very unprofessional. You dont want to deal with him!!! Never go to him because you will never find any solution! Except from very bad management, the hotel is really nice and stuff are amazingly excellent!

  Friendly staff, priced well, but poor standards of maintenance, construction and staff skill

  I stayed for 9 days in this hotel. I had booked a mountain view room, with kitchen. On my first arrival, it took three attempts to get this. On my second visit, a few days later, no such room was available for the first two nights. Then I was offered the "Presidential Suite" at no extra cost. I was also given a free dinner and drinks for the booking error! The hotel is not well constructed, and has some oddities. For example, in the Presidential Suite, the cooker was not connected, there were no plates abd cups, no electric kettle. Also, instead of a shower, there was a ridiculous "spar bath" that was really difficult to get into and out of...should be thrown out. The staff try hard, and are very friendly, but poorly trained. Internet erratic, as it seems to be everywhere in Ethiopia. Front of the hotel un paved and very muddy.

  Good hotel has gone bad

  This place has been our favorite hotel spot and I have left good feedback to reflect this few years ago. Unfortunately, following Five visit over the past two weeks, myself and my family have been left extremely disappointed and ripped off for the following reasons: 1) You ask for steam and at times I get told they are experiencing water leak so no compensation but to use Sauna which isn't my preferred choice. We also paid for shower only and we had to shower with cold water. When we complained to the staff located at the steam room, they mentioned the management is fully aware of the shower being cold; especially in the female room but has continued to charge their customers knowingly. One female staff even laughed when I told her the male shower is also cold (not sure what humor she saw in my comment). This is nothing short of being ripped off and a classic sign of extremely poor service. We were very angry by this. 2) The walls in the steam room are covered with moulds, dirt and not inviting to rest around. 3) The two toilet rooms located at the steam area are both dirty and is not kept clean regularly. There is a pool of water in the middle of both toilets and both toilet locks do not work In general, following my first review couple of years ago, this hotel has certainly declined in it's standard and with bad management in place, it has been our last visit tonight and I would highly suggest for anyone using steam and spa to double check services are working well before hand or otherwise try other hotels which are well kept and with similar price range.
