  comfortable one

  you might need to walk a few to reach hotel from bus stand. Room was good. We got a room for freshen up as we reached before check-in time. Dalai-lama temple is near to this hotel. You can get taxi from here to triund starting point. Budha temple and Mall road too near to this.

  Not good

  This is a below average hotel and is not good. The overall feel is not good. The hotel is quite far from the main square and takes a while to walk too. There are much better hotels to choose from so try to avoid this.

  Cheaters

  We had actually booked and paid for Hotel Sapphire, but were shifted to this property as the cheaters had overbooked Sapphire. Lot of walk from main square, small outdated TVs in rooms, service bordering on poor, non functional restaurant.

  Worst of the Worst Hotel experience

  We had booked the Sahiwa Hotel though Make My Trip. During the time of booking the owner (or who so ever he was) Vikas was very courteous. We booked 5 rooms one of which was Super Deluxe but when we were allotted the rooms all were the same category. Even worse to come, the phone extension was dead. We were given Mobile numbers for Restaurant and Reception which we had to dial using the roaming facility of ours to order anything. Rooms were never cleaned, towels were never replaced. Water Crises, Worst room service. The waiters were always ready to refuse and fight with you. In Spite of repeated calls to Vikas, he never turned up or returned a call for courtesy sake. We were stuck coz' we had made the payment in advance. Bugs, Cockroaches were every where in the Hotel premises forget the room. If there is any rating below 1 I'll give it to this hotel. Its not terrible its horrible. I'ld advise not to book this Hotel at any cost, better sleep in your own car if you don't find any place to stay. Worst. Worst. Worst.

  Hotel has been shut down

  We previously stayed at Sahiwa on a tour via MakeMyTrip. It wasn't great though the chef was enthusiastic. I will never forget the picture of Battersea Power Station on our grubby hotel room wall. The location is perfect for the temple but the hotel is currently closed. We walked past yesterday and wondered why it wasn't in business. Our guesthouse owner explained that it - and many of the other hotels in the town - had been closed down for infringing the planning regulations - e.g. having permission for a 2 storey hotel and then building 5 storeys.
