    Wonderful stay

Stayed in 2 room suite "Tsubaki" with private outdoor hot springs bath. Two rooms separated by hallway and 1 full bath with toilet just adjacent to bathroom so if someone taking a bath can have privacy yet toilet available for others. Recommend for family reunions.

    Happy Little Hotel

It's kind of a quirky little hotel that looks like it's maybe past its heyday. But we both enjoyed our stay very much. For the price, the option to stay in a traditional Japanese room was very attractive. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The onsen at the hotel wasn't bad (read: not great, but not horrible either); I'd recommend instead checking out the Tenzen buplic bath nearby- which lives up to its reputation on this site.

    A...

A good Japanese-style hotel is suitable for the family who travels by car, in front of a river, a small dam and waterfall is seen and heard. the parking is valet service. They have a good hot spring bath with clear water. It's a little far from HAKONE YUMOTO station. You should use a shuttle bus.

A traditional Japanese hotel with tatami mats and futons

The Hotel is a traditional Japanese hotel with tatami mats and futons. Be prepared for the experience of sleeping on a futon on the floor. The bathroom includes a traditional Japanese set up for washing before soaking in a tub. The hotel also has public onsuns for those brave enough to go bare in company. Breakfast was both Japanese and European and provided good variety.

    Wonderfully Comfortable Traditional Ryokan Guesthouse/Hotel

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a small group. From a westerner's point of view one may call this "a unique style of accommodation" with tatami mat floors and authentic cuisine and futon bedding. We are aged 69 and 70 and found the accommodation and bedding very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay immensely. No shoes on the tatami matting.ie indoors. Slippers ans socks are provided for moving around the guesthouse. Hot spring baths are available, both indoor and outdoor, and house kimonos were provided and changed daily. Japanese food is served which was of the highest quality. There is a shower/bath adjoining each room, but this is quite exposed to the elements and when we were there it was quite cold and uninviting so the shower and hot spring baths were the way to go. The location overlooks a river and waterfall (NB not all rooms) and was very quiet. The guesthouse is some distance from the nearest from the nearest railway station but there is a small bus that I believe would be available to collect guests (see photo). The staff were very obliging and courteous. The temperature in our room was well regulated with a very good A/C. Lighting is also able to be controlled remotely and can be dimmed. I would highly recommend this guesthouse/hotel as a great place to stay in the Hakone area.
