  Lousy hotel

  Looks like a motel. No standard. Very noisy. Whole hotel only one person to care for everything from front desk to repairs of lights. Too expensive. Worth $50 per nights only. Not recommended. Bed and sheets looked old and rough. Floor and corridor old n not like hotel standards.

  Very comfortable, really recommended!

  The hotel is clean and well-arranged. it is close to the historical center and the train station. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, I recommend it! It is very convenient to get to know Genoa for a couple of days!

  Great Location, Honest People

  We had a room reserved at La Piazzetta months ago. Our train was delayed in France and I texted our new arrival time to Piazzetta. This caused them to tell me we would arrive too late and find another place to stay GOODBYE! (La Piazzetta. Dont bother booking there.) So we walked off the train, out the front of the Principe Station, followed around the right curve of the building and there, literally across the street (one minute walk maximum) was the Hotel Galata. It was a great, last minute emergency place to stay and here is why: the night clerk, Norwin Ty took us right in. I looked ahead of time and the normal room rate for a double was 79. Norwin looked at us, looked at the clock (it was now 23:00 and wed be leaving about 8:00) and he said, The rate is normally 79 but I will give it to you for... sixty. Now that is a good employee with great service. He makes a great espresso by the way. The room was not at all fancy or luxurious. It did however have everything we need. WiFi, great plug situation for charging. Lots of space and clear counter tops for storage (not cluttered with cutesy foo-foo). The room was large, clean, the bathroom had soaps and hairdryer and many towels (your choice of soft or rough). There is a refrigerator , AC, TV. Simple breakfast in the morning. Great location for a stop-thru on the train. Look. It was late at night and he could have tried to rip off the tired travelers. But he didnt. I rate honest value pretty high. Five stars. But its not fancy.

  Es un hotel sencillo pero muy acogedor. El personal es muy atento y agradable y ayuda en todo lo necesario. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y nuevas. La ubicación es muy buena, cerca del acuario, del casco histórico y de los autobuses y metro. Lo recomendamos. Hemos estado muy agusto.

  Excelente elección

  El dueño y su esposa muy buena gente, buen precio, limpio, buen desayuno, bien ubicado, próximo al centro y puerto cruceros. Necesite el favor de jar loas maltas hasta tomar vuelo por la noche y me lo permitieron.
