  Brand new hotel away from Haram and on a mountain

  It was of course a nice experience to stay at a brand new hotel in Makkah but should not miss the negatives. #1 It is little away from the grand mosque so you have to be healthy enough to reach that distance. However they provide bus service at peak times, so it will be wonderful if you can match your trips with their bus timings. #2 It is at the top of a mountain so if you have any disability to use a steep road (example: wheel chair user) then you will be in real problem. The interesting thing is that they do not disclose these negatives while we look for the bookings.

  Good hotel in a remote place with regular bus service to Haram

  The hotel is located in a remote place off Ajyad street on a hill. If you're traveling with your own car, the hotel has ample parking space. It located a bit far from Haram but has a regular bus service to the Haram. The bus timings are quite accurate even during the rush hour of Ramadan The bus drops you at the Safa Marwa side and the same location is used for pick up as well. The dropping zone is also used by many hotels which are far away from Haram and all the buses are clearly marked with the hotel names. Drnef Ajyad has 2 buses allotted for pick up and drops. Also note that you would have to walk around 10 minutes to Haram. Coming to the hotel, the facilities are quite good and up to the mark. Room are clean, toiletries provided, mosque and play area for children at the basement and a small canteen near the reception as there is no grocery shop nearby, There is also a restaurant at the basement. I visited it for my Iftar (breaking fast) which costs SAR 75.00 per person and was a buffet. One of the biggest drawback of this hotel is the lack of English speaking staff. Also, the hotel has 2 wings and make sure you 're clear if your room in Wing 1 or 2. I was allotted Room 606 and had to come back to the reception 5 times as the card was not working before getting to know that I was directed to the wrong wing.
