  good business hotel.

  Good service. Friendly andvefficient. Got a goodnights sleep which is the main thing I look for. Near shops and coofee places. Good value for money.

  Totally arevage

  Neither have a good nor a very bad opinion about this hotel. The rooms are good and big enough, bathroom also is totally okay. The hotel in total seems already little bit old. The breakfast was not very good and no real big choice. But what really made me unhappy was the unfriendly staff. No matter if we asked for some way or some AC...seems they were only a little bit away from shouting at us why we trouble their relaxing time.

  No complaints

  I stayed here one night during a recent business trip. The hotel is old, halls have the smell of stale smoke like many of the Chinese hotels I've stayed in, but my room (non-smoking) was passable. There were ash trays and matches in the room but I could not detect the smell of smoke. My room was large, I had a suite, furniture dated but functional with a reasonably comfortable bed and clean. Bathroom and shower were in good condition and seemingly recently renovated. I ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was fine. Note however that my hosts both booked me into the hotel and ordered the food at dinner. I wouldn't expect there to be much English spoken at this hotel as it primarily serves a Chinese clientele. I would give this hotel a good rating given the price they are charging for their rooms and the convenient location of their hotel.

  Satisfied

  Hotel has convenient location - easy to find it, not far from city center, metro in front of hotel. Room was ok, not small, all things little older. Internet via cable worked w/o problem. It is good value for its price. We didn't have breakfast included, when asked for price, it seems to me too high (68rmb pp); but there is plenty of good Chinese eateries just behind the hotel. Just one problem - walls are so thin that when your neighbor snores, you can hear it as he is in your room.

  Inexpensive Luxury in Downtown Dalian

  The Central Plaza is a five to ten minute walk from the Light Rail Station, has a Metro station nearby, lots of busses, and taxis take you all over downtown for just ten RMB from here. I've read the other reviews and have no idea why they are so negative. Maybe the hotel has improved since then. The front desk staff spoke English, returned my passport quickly, and asked for a small deposit. A room on the 22nd floor with a fantastic view of Dalian landmarks was around 100 CDN. City lights, Dalian's huge soccer ball sculpture, and the tower on the hill were upstaged by downtown city lights at night, including a dancer on the exterior of a skyscraper. Nearby, just two short blocks away, is the famous Japanese Cultural Street.
