  Charming, quirky and perfect

  We loved our recent stay at Alices cottage in the boudoir. It had character, was cosy, comfortable, central and good value. Everything had been carefully thought out, even down to the substantial and varied breakfast pack that was left for us.. muesli, yoghurt, juice, eggs, bacon, toast and a huge variety of spreads. It was very clean and the welcome drink and biscuits and cheese were a lovely touch too. The welcome folder with suggested walks , places to visit and places to eat was very helpful too. We will be back !

  Cosy cottage with lots of charm

  We stayed in the Boudoir and it was cosy, convenient to the main shopping area but quiet and peaceful and decorated beautifully. We discovered a small but very functional kitchen nook and a hidden toilet and of course the spa bath was a luxury in the small but well laid out space. A great place to stay and good value.

  Charming cottage but...

  We had a recent 2 night stay in the Scottish cottage which was quiet, quaint and overall well appointed. However a few basic housekeeping issues we encountered discouraged us from booking here on our futurel visits to Launceston. These included a lack of washing up utensils apart from a well used sponge, an overgrown rose bush blocking the back door and zero TV reception on ABC and SBS. The latter could probably be easily fixed by shortening the excessively long aerial cable. I did email the owners 2 weeks ago about these issues but have had no response to date.

  Historical B&B charm with today's comforts

  We very much enjoyed the comfy historical cottage charm at Alice's Cottages. We had a well prepared, clean and comfortable cottage (Welsh Cottage) with the feel of yesteryear. We also enjoyed the cosy comfort of the open fire and the little treats provided on arrival. The cottages are situated in a quiet safe and convenient area of Launceston with good off-street parking and nice tidy garden surrounds. All up, good value.

  Hidden Gem in Launceston for a romantic getaway............

  We stayed in the Boudoir Cottage for 4 nights.... This is only one of the thmes cottages and undoubtedly the most romantic There isn't anything the hosts haven't thought of!! Little jars of toiletry necessities .... body wash etc The decor is to die for.... the wigs and masks...well, ooh la la ;-) The decanter of port, very thoughtful...... Spa bath..... Little kitchenette which was just right.... with condiments etc supplied..... The on site laundry, very handy.... Great location, walkable into Launceston Centre and the Cataract Gorge, which is a must do!! We can't wait to recommend these cottages and would love to go back and try one of the other themed cottages... You won't be disappointed :-)
